Romania may refer to:
- Romania (Rumania, Roumania) - the modern nation-state in southeastern Europe.
- An alternative name for the Byzantine Empire (also known as the Eastern Roman Empire). (Ρωμανία in Greek).
- An alternative name for the Latin Empire, centred on Byzantium, set up by Roman Catholic Crusaders of the Fourth Crusade with the intention of replacing the Eastern Orthodox Byzantine Empire with a Roman Catholic empire.[citation needed]
- In Romance linguistics, the Romance-speaking peoples as a group, or the places where Romance languages are spoken, also called Latin Europe.
