Romper suit
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A romper suit is a one-piece garment worn by children and infants.
Children's rompers appeared in the 1910s. They are in many ways the first modern casual clothes for children. They were one piece costumes with bloomer legs of various lengths. Rompers were primarily a play costume, an alternative to smocks, another popular garment for children. They were light and loose fitting, a major change from the much more restricive clothing children wore during the 19th Century Victorian era. <ref name=history>Rompers on Historical Boys' clothing</ref>
