Ryde Esplanade railway station serves the town of Ryde on the Isle of Wight. Located on the sea front by the town centre it is the principal station in the town. Ryde bus station is located on the railway station forecourt, forming the main bus/rail interchange on the Island. Also adjacent to the station is the Hovertravel hovercraft terminal, although at present the connection involves a footbridge over the railway. The complex is due to be rebuilt in 2007 to upgrade the facilities.
Ryde Esplanade is also the location of the principal ticket office and all lost property facilities on the Island Line network.
