Sandbank

A sandbank is a patch of sand in water, which creates a shallow area which may pose a hazard to boats. Some sandbanks are above water at low tide. See also shoal and bar.
Sandbank is also the name of at least three specific places:
- Sandbank is a village in Argyll and Bute, Scotland.
- Sandbanks is a spit in Poole harbour in the south of England.
- Sandbanks is a provincial park in Ontario, Canada.
