[edit] Trivia

  • It is widely believed that the band got their name from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, in which the titular protagonist fakes an illness in order to be able to skip school. This leads to an impromptu aid campaign initiated by his schoolmates under the slogan "Save Ferris," which is used as a running gag throughout the movie. When the band played in Chicago, someone allegedly had the band's name displayed on the marquee in front of legendary Wrigley Field, in reference to the movie.
