[edit] Trivia
- It is widely believed that the band got their name from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off, in which the titular protagonist fakes an illness in order to be able to skip school. This leads to an impromptu aid campaign initiated by his schoolmates under the slogan "Save Ferris," which is used as a running gag throughout the movie. When the band played in Chicago, someone allegedly had the band's name displayed on the marquee in front of legendary Wrigley Field, in reference to the movie.
- Save Ferris also made a brief cameo appearance in the 1999 teen movie 10 Things I Hate about You.
- Tara Lipinski used "The World is New" for her first program as a professional skater in the 1998 Skate TV Championships. <ref>http://www.news-star.com/stories/042498/spo_lipinski.html</ref> <ref>http://www.goldenskate.com/competitions/proam/rock.shtml</ref>
