[edit] Biography
[edit] Personal life
Green was born in Overbrook Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Herb Green and Barbara Gesshel. He is an avid collector of Action figures, especially from GI Joe.
[edit] Career
Green's first role was in the 1984 film, A Billion for Boris. He also starred in Woody Allen's Radio Days (1987) as Joe, and appeared in Big Business1988 as (city twin) Bette Midler's son, and in the same year, in the motion picture My Stepmother Is an Alien (which also featured his future Buffy costar Alyson Hannigan).
Green appeared (as 'Beep Beep Richie') in the miniseries It, all three Austin Powers movies (as Dr Evil's son Scott), and Enemy of the State as a computer specialist (in an uncredited role). He played another "computer geek" role in the film The Italian Job. He was also in the movie Rat Race. Another one of Green's later films is Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (with Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar). He also starred as one of the main characters in Without a Paddle.
Green's first television appearances were in Tales from the Darkside and Amazing Stories in the mid-1980s. He also appeared in commercials as the window cashier for Rally's Hamburgers in the early 90's, sparking the catch-phrase, "Cha-Ching!" In 1994 he starred alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt in the shortlived series Byrds of Paradise. However, Green's fame and prominence rose when he began appearing as Daniel "Oz" Osbourne the werewolf in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer during seasons 2–4. Green's character from "IT" Richie Tozier is afraid of werewolves which is a bit curious, considering that Green would later go on to play Oz.
