Shin-Yokohama Station

Shin-Yokohama Station (新横浜駅; Shin-Yokohama Eki) is a train station in Kōhoku-ku, Yokohama, Japan. It is located on the Tōkaidō Shinkansen, Yokohama Line, and Yokohama City Subway Line 3.

In addition to being a part of residential urban sprawl of the metropolitan Tokyo area, which includes Yokohama, the area around the station saw an influx of mid-size companies including computer software firms set up offices there from the mid 1980s on thanks to increased stops by the Hikari and Nozomi services which offered shorter travel hours to Nagoya and Shin-Ōsaka.

Nissan Stadium (formerly International Stadium Yokohama), which was host to the Football World Cup 2002 final match and home of the Yokohama F Marinos soccer team, and the Yokohama Arena are located about a 10-minute walk each from the station.
