Simao (Chinese: 思茅; pinyin: Sīmáo; Hani: Siilmaoq) is a prefecture-level city in Southern Yunnan province of the People's Republic of China.

Simao is the capital of the prefecture of Simao on the border to Laos. Simao is in the part of Yunnan relatively close to Myanmar.
