Simone Beck

Simone Beck (7 July 1904 in Normandy, France - 20 December 1991) with Julia Child introduced Americans to French food with Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Vols 1-2.
Simone or Simca Beck lived and died in her french country farmhouse in Plascassier, in the south of France. Teacher to many famous chefs, she helped spread the word and world interest for French Cuisine.
Her home can be enjoyed by guests interested in visiting the magical part of France where her family still welcome guests to stay and delight in the surrounds of the French countryside and abundant cuisine nearby. See http://bramafam.blog.com
