South Africa Standard Time

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

South African Standard Time, or SAST, is a time zone used by all of South Africa, in addition to Lesotho and Swaziland. The zone is two hours ahead of UTC (UTC+2), which is the same as Central Africa Time, used in countries to the north and east of South Africa.

No daylight savings are observed in this time zone, although the South African budget airline kulula.com has started a Fight for Light campaign for it to be instated (see Fight for Light with kulula.com and click on About Us).
