South American cinema

South American cinema refers collectively to the film output and film industries of South America.

This particular refers to the sizeable industries of Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Peru. By definition, it also covers the film industries of Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela, Falkland Islands, and French Guiana. By extension some may include in this category cinema from Panama, Aruba, Trinidad and Tobago, and other Central American and Caribbean countries and territories.
