Sporting Group
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Sporting Group is an American Kennel Club designation for 26 purebred dog breeds. <ref>American Kennel Club Sporting Group</ref> Because they were developed as bird dogs with energetic hunting abilities in water and field settings, most sporting dogs require regular exercise. Their naturally active and alert demeanor also makes them likeable and well-rounded companions.
This group includes pointers, retrievers, setters, and spaniels.
