Stortorget (Stockholm)

Stortorget, meaning The Big Square, is a small square in Gamla Stan in Stockholm, the oldest part of the city and its historical center.

Today, Stortorget is the location of the Stockholm Stock Exchange Building, the seat of the Swedish Academy and The Nobel Museum. Stortorget is also close to the Royal Palace.

Stortorget was the scene of the Stockholm Bloodbath in 1520.
