Sugamo Station

Sugamo Station (巣鴨駅 sugamo-eki?) is a train station in Tokyo's Toshima ward. Opened on April 1 1903, the JR station is used by about 76,000 passengers daily.

To the north of the station is a long shopping street, Jizō-dōri (地蔵通り) popular with older ladies, and the area is known as Harajuku for Grannies.
