Sunderland Point
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sunderland Point is a small village at the mouth of the River Lune, Lancashire. It was once a port, serving the cotton, sugar and slave trades. A local place of interest is Sambo's Grave, on the shoreline.
The village is linked to the neighbouring Overton by a single-track road crossing a tidal marsh, which is flooded at high tide.
