TNT N.V. (Euronext: TNT, NYSE: TP) is a provider of global express delivery, logistics, and mail services. Its two brands are TNT and Royal TNT Post. TNT is its global brand for express and logistics & supply chain services. Royal TNT Post is the national postal operator in the Netherlands (formerly known as Royal TPG Post; brand name change since October 2006).
Today, TNT employs over 161,000 people in 63 countries and serves over 200 countries. In 2004 had sales of EUR 12.6 billion (approximately $15.4 billion). Their aircraft operate under the IATA code of TAY.
TNT is listed on Euronext Amsterdam, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the London Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.
TNT N.V. global provider of mail, express and logistics services announced it intends to delist from the London and Frankfurt stock exchanges. The costs for these listings are not justified by the low trading volume in TNT shares at both stock exchanges.

- 1752 to 1799 - Establishment of Statenpost, which secured a national monopoly. Services were reorganised into a single national enterprise based on the French model.
- 1852 - First Postal stamp appeared.
- 1931 - Mechanisation of the postal system.
- 1946 - TNT (Thomas National Transport) was founded in Australia.
- 1961 - TNT listed on the Sydney Stock Exchange.
- 1977 - Introduction of post codes, which allowed full automation of the postal system.
- 1989 - Dutch post became a private company called PTT Nederland.
- 1992 - TNT was acquired by the Canadian and a consortium of European post offices.
- 1994 - Under the name of Royal PTT Nederland (KPN), the company was listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
- 1996 - KPN makes a friendly takeover of TNT.
- 1998 - TNT opens its European Express Centre in Liege, Belgium. The postal division (including TNT) are demerged from KPN and listed separately on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange as TPG. An international road hub was opened in Duiven, Netherlands. TPG acquires Jet Services of France and is integrated into TNT's European operations.
- 1999 to 2005 - TPG moves into the logistics market with the acquisition of several international logistics companies.
- 2002 - TPG and the United Nation's World Food Program launch a partnership known as "Moving the World" aimed at fighting world hunger.
- 2005 - TPG renames itself to TNT and announces its plan to sell off the majority of its logistics division.

- Koninklijke TNT Post BV - collects, sorts and distributes mail in the Netherlands
- TNT Express - operates the largest express network by air and road in Europe, as well as TNT Airways, an international cargo airline. TNT Express employ more than 50,000 people and have a fleet of 42 jet freighter aircraft together with 19,000 road vehicles organised by a worldwide network of nearly 857 company owned depots. TNT extensive resources also include numerous state of the art sortation centres and all these efficient facilities enable TNT Express to provide the fastest and most reliable door to door transit times in the industry.
- TNT Logistics - the second largest logistics company in the world. On 23 August 2006 TNT N.V. announced that it has signed a Sale and Purchase Agreement to sell its logistics division to Apollo Management L.P., a U.S. private equity firm.[1]
