Takashi Hashiguchi

Takashi Hashiguchi (橋口 たかし Hashiguchi Takashi, born June 2 1967) is a manga author.

Hashiguchi was born in Tokyo and has O type blood. He won a newcomer's award in 1987 (published in a magazine), and Combat Teacher debuted the following year in the same magazine. 1988 marks the beginning of his career as a professional mangaka. He enjoys comedy as well, and took a brief interlude from drawing to try his luck as a comedian. Most of his manga has to do with the realization of childhood dreams (e.g. making bread in Yakitate!! Japan, becoming the yo-yo master in Super Yo-Yo (Chousoku Spinner), etc.) and he focuses mainly on unusual occupations or sports.
