Tallowwood (Eucalyptus microcorys) is a common species in New South Wales and Queensland, Australia that grows in coastal forests. It is listed as "Eucalyptus microcorys F. Muell. – Australian tallowwood" in the USDA - NRCS Plants database
It is a tree growing to 60 m tall, with rough, fibrous bark. The leaves are 8-13 cm long and 1.5-2.5 cm broad. The flowers are produced in umbels of 7-9.
The leaves are one of the species used for food by Koalas.

The timber is naturally oily with a high tannin content and is highly used for decking and, recently, garden furniture. The colour is a distinct yellowish brown to olive-green.
The nectar of tallowwood is much prized by apiarists.
