Tara Smith

Tara Smith is a professor of philosophy at The University of Texas at Austin and author of books on rights, ethics and values. She did her undergraduate work at the University of Virginia and received her doctorate from Johns Hopkins University. Her published work includes Viable Values: A Study of Life as the Root and Reward of Morality, Moral Rights and Political Freedom, and The Virtuous Egoist: Ayn Rand's Normative Ethics from Cambridge University Press.
Smith is affiliated with the Ayn Rand Institute.
