Teabagging is the act of a man placing his genitals, specifically the scrotum, on the face of another person. It is also used to describe a man placing his scrotum and testicles in anothers mouth, like dipping a tea bag in hot water.

Teabagging may also mean:

  • A Basketball maneuver: A player is said to be 'teabagged' when another player dunks on top of him. A famous teabagging incident in basketball was during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia when Vince Carter teabagged the French center, Frédéric Weis.
  • A wine producing process: Makers of cheap mass-produced wine, especially Chardonnay, find that allowing the wine to mature in oak barrels to give it the oaky, woody taste is expensive. Instead, the wine is put into huge tanks and large bundles of oak chips are dunked in - a procedure known as tea bagging.
  • A gaming term: in the Halo games especially with their long respawn times, a vanquished player will be able to watch their body for as long as 15 seconds or more. Teabagging is where another player crouches over their face to further humiliate their opponent. This is not limited to these games however, but it is more commonly used on games without instant respawn as this takes away the humiliating yet amusing effect.
  • A term used in rowing or padding where an individual paddles with less power or speed than their group, resulting in the whole craft going slower. The term refers to the action of dipping a paddle or oar in the water in a manner similar to a teabag.
  • A term used in dinghy sailing indicating one or more of the crew of the boat gets dipped into the water by heeling the boat to weather (usually on a failed gybe). The crew may be hiking or on a trapeze for their immersion.
