Teen Witch is a film that was released in 1989. It was originally pitched as a sequel/spin-off of the 1985 movie Teen Wolf. Later though it was re-worked and turned into a film of its own. The movie is a fantasy/musical blend with the elements of a fantasy being the "witch" but the characters in this movie burst out into song twice leading fans to believe this movie was originally intended to be a musical.

[edit] Plot
The film tells the story of Louise Miller who on her 16th birthday discovers she is actually a witch and begins developing magical powers. Her magical powers come from a strange and mysterious necklace that her favorite drama teacher found among the costumes. At first, she uses her powers to make her friends and family happy (or in her little brother's case un-happy)but then, she uses these powers to make the most popular boy in school fall in love with her, and to transform herself from a bookworm nerd into a sexy popular girl, much to the dismay of her friends and family.
