The Ark is a Swedish glam rock band. The band was formed in 1991 by Ola Salo, Mikael Jepson, and Lasse "Leari" Ljungberg. Martin Axén officially joined the band in 1997. The last member to join was Sylvester Schlegel in 1999. Their lyrics, written in community, are normally controversial. For example, the 2002 single 'Father of a Son' is about homosexual's right to have children. They have collaborated with artists such as The Darkness and The Cardigans.
