  • Luke Pritchard is self-confessed to be "tone deaf" which he announced to fans on "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross". However, it was alleged that he got drunk in the green room of the studio before being interviewed, and as a consequence said he was tone deaf.
  • The band refused to be interviewed on Channel 4's Popworld after, in the course of their first interview on the show, Simon Amstell made repeated references to Luke's ex-girlfriend, Katie Melua.
  • Several of the songs released on their debut album, Inside In/Inside Out are believed to be written about Luke Pritchard's former girlfriend Katie Melua, including "She Moves In Her Own Way".
  • The song Naïve, which catapulted them to stardom after release, was written by Luke Pritchard when he was just 16 years old.
  • The Kooks have recently announced that they are currently working on their second album and are hoping for a spring 2007 release date.
