Welcome to the Jungle (also known as The Rundown) is an action film starring The Rock and Seann William Scott about a bounty hunter/enforcer/aspiring chef named Beck who must head for the Amazon jungle to capture someone.
Beck (The Rock) is serving his last mission for his boss, which is to go to the Amazons and bring back his son, Travis (Seann W. Scott). Travis is a young man of wealthy upbring who is searching for a priceless artifact with the aid of a woman, named Mariana (Rosario Dawson). When Beck arrives in South America his plans go astray. He and Travis eventually go looking for riches stored in a mine in the Amazon and reveal a massive, almost slave-like, operation being run by a man named Hatcher (played by Christopher Walken).
The film's working titles were Helldorado and Welcome to the Jungle.
The film is titled as "Welcome to the Jungle" in some territories, such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
In Mexico it is known as El Tesoro del Amazonas (The Treasure of the Amazon).
In Brazil Bem Vindo à Selva. (Welcome to the Jungle)
The cameo of Schwarzenegger happens at the start of the film. The Rock's character is walking into a nightclub about to confront a group of professional footballers. Schwarzenegger passes by and says to The Rock "Have fun." As if to pass the torch of action star to Rock who eventually engages in a fight with the group and wins.
