[edit] History
The hardcore punk quintet released their best-of compilation Totally Unseen: The Best Of The Unseen (Step One Records [England]) — which contains two previously unreleased tracks in June 2000.
For the release of their 2001 Album The Anger And the Truth "Chainsaw" re-accompanied the band in the studio to record the song No Evacuation (he originally wrote the song).
In the fall of 2004, The Unseen signed with HellCat Records. Mark Unseen, the lead singer, formed and currently runs ADD Records. He also joined the punk band A Global Threat as second lead singer, and recorded the full length "What the Fuck Will Change?", but later left to concentrate his efforts on The Unseen.
There has been much controversy concerning the band, and perceptions that they have "sold out." Many use the band's relationship with Benji of Good Charlotte, among other things to support this.[citation needed] They have toured Europe, the United States, Japan, and parts of Mexico with many punk heavyweights. Since the departure of their rhythm guitarist Paul, the band has used many replacements on tour such as members from The Virus, Strike Anywhere, and F-Minus, however, recently, on their myspace.com page, the Unseen have included a fifth band member, Jonny, an x guitarist of a global threat and was in the band the same time as mark. He was also the joint founder of USA waste(with brett threat).
In May 2006, the band announced on their official website that they would begin writing a new album during the summer. On August 15, 2006, according to Punkbands.com, it was announced that The Unseen is now writing the new album and plans to release it in sometime 2007. The band also plans to record it around later this year or the beginning of next year.
