The Upper Galilee

The Upper Galille is a mountainious area in northern Israel, its borders are the Litani river in Lebanon at the north, the Mediterranean Sea at the west, the 'Bet ha'Cerem' valley in the south and the Jordan river at the east.

The Upper Galille is the northern sub-area of the Galilee, it is seperated from the Lower Galilee by the Bet-Hakerem valley, Its mountains are taller and valleys are deeper than those in the Lower Galilee, it's Tallest peak is Har Meron at 1,208m above sea level. the area spreads over 1,500 sq. km, about 700 in Israel and the rest in Lebanon.
