Theodor Waigel

Theodor Waigel (born April 22, 1939) is a German politician of the Christian Social Union in Bavaria party.
He was federal Finance minister from 1989-1998 under Chancellor Helmut Kohl. From 1988-1999 he was chairman of the CSU. He is also known as father of the Euro, the European currency.
