Tommy Overstreet

Tommy Overstreet (born September 10, 1937) is a country music singer born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Overstreet was initially a band musician who eventually was hired to manage Dot Records in Nashville in 1967. In 1971, he decided to pursue a recording career, signing himself to Dot and quickly establishing himself as a country hitmaker that year with a top five hit "Gwen (Congratulations)". Overstreet would score 23 country hits in the 1970's, including eleven top ten records. He remains active as a concert performer and occasional recording artist, including stints recording gospel and big band pop music.
