Torque is an 2004 action movie. Martin Henderson, Ice Cube, Jaime Pressly, Will Yun Lee, Matt Schulze and Monet Mazur starred in the film. It was often called "The Fast and the Furious on Motorcycles" referring to the use of many of the same thematic elements between the two films.
[edit] References in popular culture (intertextuality)
Ford: "I live my life a quarter-mile at a time."
Shane: "That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard."
Ford's line is taken from the film, 'The Fast And The Furious'. The lines are an obvious statement on what the writers of Torque thought of The Fast And The Furious.
Ice Cube's character: "Fuck tha po-lice" - Ice Cube's rap group N.W.A recorded a song of the same title.
