Trawniki
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Trawniki is a village and rural commune in Świdnik County in the Lublin Voivodship. It was also a Nazi labour camp in occupied Poland during the Second World War, under the command of Hauptsturmführer Theodor von Eupen. As well as providing labour to a nearby industrial plant, it was also used as an SS training camp. Ukrainians, Balts, and ethnic Germans were recruited from POW camps, and trained at Trawniki for Operation Reinhard. (Among them was John Demjanjuk).
