Trud (Russian newspaper)

Trud (Tpyд in Russian, meaning "labour") is one of Russia’s largest-circulation daily newspapers. It is centrist, and owned largely by Gazprom.

It was established on 19 February, 1921 as the mouthpiece for the Soviet Labor Unions. By 1990, it boasted the world's largest circulation (21,500,000), a fact inscribed in the Guinness Book of Records.
