Turbine, Inc. (formerly Turbine Entertainment Software, Second Nature, and originally CyberSpace, Inc.) is a Westwood, Massachusetts-based computer game developer that developed the popular massively multiplayer role-playing games (MMORPGs) Asheron's Call, Asheron's Call 2 and Dungeons & Dragons Online for Atari. Turbine was founded by Jon Monsarrat, Jeremy Gaffney, Kevin Langevin, and Timothy Miller. Since May 2003, Turbine has been working on two MMORPGs: The Lord of the Rings Online which is developed and published in house.
On February 15, 2005 the company name was officially changed to Turbine, Inc. [1]
