From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tweety and the Beanstalk is a 1957 Warner Bros. Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Friz Freleng and is a take on the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. In it, Sylvester finds himself climbing a beanstalk to catch a giant Tweety. Strangely enough, Although this cartoon is a Merrie Melodies short, it uses the Looney Tunes opening theme. The original ending, which featured Sylvester landing himself in China to a stereotypical Chinese Tweety, was censored in recent years.
