Twine

Twine is a strong thread composed of two or three smaller threads or strands twisted together. A thin cord or string or rope.

- as a clothes line;
- binding bales in a baler;
- binding small parcels;
- binding straw in a binder;
- gloves made out of wrapped twine in Muay Thai;
- making nets;
- the tying of lashings;
- whipping the end of a rope.

- Natural fibers, used for making twine, are sisal, jute, henequen, coir. However, certain plastic fibers may also be used.
