It is part of the Erdington formal district and comprises Castle Vale, and the south-eastern part of Erdington. This ward has the smallest population of all Birmingham City wards. The significant landmarks in the area include the Jaguar car factory at Castle Bromwich and the Fort Dunlop tyre plant.
