Tyranny
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page is about the religious concept of Tyranny. See tyrant for a political science description.
Tyranny is oppressive power. Grace is enabling power. These two powers are in opposition to each other! Just like good is in opposition to evil. Satan’s power is manifested through tyranny and God’s power is manifested through grace.
Further explanation: tyranny is coercion (i.e. going against someone’s will to choose).
Examples:
In history the use of tyranny made it so women did not have a voting voice. (See women's suffrage)
In history the use tyranny made certain humans slaves to other humans. (See slavery)
