Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) is located in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. The university has 7 colleges and faculties.
The university has undergone various development stages and name changes: the University of Indochina established in 1906; Vietnam National University (November, 1945); the University of Hanoi (June, 1956). In 1993, Vietnam National University, Hanoi was created by merging the University of Hanoi, Foreign Language Teachers’ Traning College and other leading universities in Hanoi.
