Uppark is a 17th-century house in South Harting, Petersfield, West Sussex, England and a National Trust property.

The house, set high on the South Downs, was built for the first Lord Tankerville in the late 17th century. In the 19th century stables and kitchens were added as separate buildings connected to the main building by tunnels.

In 1989 the building was devastated by a fire caused by a workman's blowtorch, just two days before it was due for re-opening after restoration. The fire broke out during open hours. Many works of art and furniture were carried out of the buring building by staff members and members of the public. The fire left nothing but the walls standing, the upper floors pancaking down onto the lower floors. During the blaze, a ladder on a fire-fighting appliance collapsed, killing one fire-fighter.

Most of the pictures and furniture in the house were salvaged, and the building has since been restored. Many lost crafts were relearnt in the restoration process.

H.G.Wells spent part of his boyhood here, his mother was a domestic servant at Uppark.
