Upper Brookville is a village in Nassau County, New York, USA. The population was 1,801 at the 2000 census.

The Village of Upper Brookville is inside the Town of Oyster Bay. The village was named for the brook that used to run along the main road, Wolver Hollow. Although the village is physically lower than the surrounding area, its wealthy residents did not want to live in Lower Brookville, and so named it Upper Brookville instead.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 11.1 km² (4.3 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 1,801 people, 568 households, and 483 families residing in the village. The population density was 161.7/km² (418.5/mi²). There were 599 housing units at an average density of 53.8/km² (139.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 83.23% White, 5.66% African American, 0.11% Native American, 7.22% Asian, 0.39% from other races, and 3.39% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 5.33% of the population.

There were 568 households out of which 42.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.8% were married couples living together, 7.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 14.8% were non-families. 12.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.14 and the average family size was 3.41.

In the village the population was spread out with 28.7% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 24.4% from 25 to 44, 27.5% from 45 to 64, and 13.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 94.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.2 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $140,861, and the median income for a family was $162,799. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $46,500 for females. The per capita income for the village was $65,254. About 2.2% of families and 2.5% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.8% of those under age 18 and 3.3% of those age 65 or over.
