The Verklarende Handwoordeboek van die Afrikaanse Taal (abbreviated to HAT) (English: "Simplified Dictionary of the Afrikaans Language") is an Afrikaans dictionary consisting of a collection of Afrikaans words and their interpretations, in book form. The HAT is the leading Afrikaans dictionary in South Africa. It is in hard back and printed by Preskor Publishers.
