Vermeer Company

Vermeer Manufacturing Company was created in 1948 by a man by the name of Gary Vermeer. Vermeer is based in Pella, Iowa and is a manufacturer of agricultural, environmental, and industrial equipment. Vermeer was the first to create a large round hay baler. This made baling hay much easier and faster since the bales were handled only by machinery and less stops were required for finishing a bale due to the larger, heavier bales.
As Vermeer grew, they expanded their products to include more than just agricultural equipment. Vermeer now manufactures an extensive line of trenching equipment, brush chippers, and miniature skid-steer loaders and excavators.
