- a tubular structure in anatomy, such as arteries and veins in the circulatory system of animals, or xylem and phloem tubes comprising the vascular tissue of plants;
- Pressure vessel, a vessel that is subject to either internal or external pressure. This definition generally includes air receivers, heat exchangers, evaporators, steam type sterilisers and autoclaves;
- Vacuum vessel is a pressure vessel where the pressure inside the vessel is lower than the ambient pressure.
