Vuren

Vuren (51°49′N 5°3′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Lingewaal, and lies about 5 km east of Gorinchem.

In 2001, the town of Vuren had 1575 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.47 km², and contained 608 residences.<ref name="CBS">Statistics Netherlands (CBS), Bevolkingskernen in Nederland 2001. (Statistics are for the continuous built-up area).</ref> The statistical area "Vuren", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 2090.<ref name="CBS2">Statistics Netherlands (CBS), Statline: Kerncijfers wijken en buurten 2003-2005.
