W. W. Hodkinson

W. W. (William Wadsworth) Hodkinson (16 August, 1881—2 June, 1971) has been given the soubriquet of The Man Who Invented Hollywood.
He was born in Independence, Kansas and in 1912 founded Paramount Pictures and devised the 'Hodkinson System' of film distribution that has existed with few changes for almost a century. Hodkinson was also responsible for doodling the mountain that became the Paramount logo in 1914.
