Waterfall railway station is a Sydney railway station serving the suburb of Waterfall, New South Wales and is the last stop of the suburban "Blue", or Illawara line, and provides fast and reasonably reliable transport to the central business district. Waterfall station also provides access to Camp Couts, a large Scout campsite.
Waterfall railway station was the last station before the rail accident that claimed the lives of the driver and six passengers on 31 January 2003.

[edit] Sidings
Waterfall has sidings for staging freight trains in either direction, the station being located at the highest point of the South Coast line. There are also sidings for stabling suburban electric trains.

The station receives approximately 2 trains an hour in off-peak, with more services in peak hours. Some South Coast line trains stop at the station, although others are usually prevented from doing so when a suburban train is terminating at the station and use the 2 outside passing tracks.
