Waubonsee Community College

Waubonsee Community College is a two-year community college in the far western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Its three campuses are located in Sugar Grove and Aurora (at Copley and Aurora-Downtown). The college was founded in 1966.
Waubonsee Community College serves 12 public school districts in Aurora, North Aurora, Batavia, Geneva, Kaneville, Maple Park, Elburn, Hinckley, Big Rock, Plano, Sandwich, Leland, Somonauk, Oswego, Yorkville, Bristol and Sugar Grove.

Plans for the Sugar Grove campus began in 1967. Waubonsee opened the downtown Aurora campus in 1986. In 1997, the Copley campus on the Rush-Copley Medical Center opened.
Waubonsee registered its 200,000th student in 2002, the year of its 35th year anniversary.
