West Monkseaton

West Monkseaton is a station on the Tyne and Wear Metro which originally opened on March 2 1933. It reopened as part of the first section of the Metro on August 11, 1980.
It is a residential area of mainly semi-detached housing which grew up between the 1920s and the 1950s.
