WindShare is a Toronto-based community renewable energy cooperative. It built North America's first urban wind turbine: the Exhibition Place Turbine (located on the shore of Lake Ontario on the grounds of Exhibition Place in Toronto). It is 50% owned by Toronto Hydro and is the first urban wind turbine in any North American city. It was built in 2003 by a Dutch manufacturer.

• Blades: three blades measure 24 metres in length

• Energy Output: 128 kilowatts in winds of 10-12 knots per hour
• Cost: approximately CAD$1.6 million
