Wootton is a village on the Isle of Wight between Ryde and Newport.

The name "Wootton" means "wood-town". In 1861, it was recorded that Wootton had a population of 79.

Close to Wootton Creek is the neighbouring village of Wootton Bridge. However, extensive development of residential areas during the 20th Century has essentially made the two settlements contiguous.

The "Little Canada" holiday park in Wootton features log cabins named after Canadian provinces and a totem pole.

Wootton is the terminus of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
