The 19^th arrondissement, located on the Right Bank, is one of the 20 arrondissements of Paris, France. It is crossed through by two Canals, the Canal Saint-Denis and the Canal de l'Ourcq which both meet at the level of the Parc de la Villette.

The 19th arrondissement hosts the public park of the Buttes Chaumont which is located on a hill. It also hosts the Parc de la Villette encompassing the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, which is an exhibition center dedicated to sciences and industries, and the Cité de la Musique, harbouring the Conservatoire de Paris, one of the best music school in Europe.

The 19th arrondissement is still growing in population. At last census in 1999, the population was of 172,730 inhabitants. At the same census, the arrondissement hosted 68,101 jobs. The land area of this arrondissement is exactly of 6.786 km² (2.62 sq. miles).
